A week after the NUST (National University of Sciences and Technology) paper leaked out scandal, UET Lahore has been hit by a similar incident. The entrance exam of UET Lahore for B.Sc Engineering was leaked out and hence after the confirmation the test has been cancelled by the authorities and will be taken again in a few weeks time.
The test took place on 24th of July at ten different centers across Pakistan where 41000 students appeared fighting for 4000 positions. UET Vice Chancellor Muhammad Akram initially disagreed to the students’ claim of paper leakage but after evident proofs declared to cancel the exam and re-conduct it on a later date.
A student claimed that the son of a UET Professor sold the papers for price as much as two hundred thousand and also made a phone call in front of media to one of the people involved in selling these papers to provide proof to the authorities.
Not only such incidents cause high tension for students but also points a lot of questions on Pakistan’s Education System.
