Make-up trends 2011: Must-have colors of the new season


Season 2011 stands out as a very tender in terms of chromatic proposed in makeup. The shades are mostly psychedelic, eclectic, extravagant, and emphasis is in most leading collections, on monochromatic. It returns therefore to uniformly and increased applied makeup using the eyeliner or false eyelashes, but also dual play of lights and shadows is found in current trends. The must-have colors for eyelids makeup are more than ever, reflecting the different views of each designer about the direction of contemporary fashion.
Must-have colors
Purple
Purple is the essential shade of the makeup kit of season. Can be worn individually, applied all over the eyelid and outlining also the upper eyelid, or integrated into a cat eyes makeup, smoky type, ideal for evening. You can opt for shades like lavender or magenta.
Green
Green was included in the previous spring trends, but in 2011 solidified its status as must-have shade. It was on the catwalk of famous designers such as Christian Dior, Alberta Ferretti and Jason Wu and was presented in iridescent metallic textures or in summer combinations such as yellow and smoky green.
Try:
Green turquoise and turquois
These variations between green and turquoise have translated the designers passion for vibrant colors specifics for the warm season. Green turquoise and turquoise are ideal for tanning skin and put in value the iris shade. It’s important to fade with a concealer when you approach it and apply many coats of mascara, to highlight the delimitation of the eyelid.
Remain in trends:
Orange
Orange is a shade which surprises by steadfastness that gives proof in makeup trends. Orange is by definition an ideal shade for blue iris, but you can combine with shades of blue, chocolate brown and even purple. Derek Lam proposes for spring 2011 the liquid eyeliner orange shade, applied with the precision of a rigid brush and balanced with a silver illuminator.
Reddish shades
Reddish shade is demanding in daily approach, so make-up artists have chosen to fade with a cream blush or to intensify the look conjuring the inner lining with a soft khol.  Reddish was present especially on Nina Ricci catwalk and was pulled out vigorously, eyebrows being dimmed to enhance the dramatic shade.
New entry:
Yellow
Yellow is a color found rarely in trends, and the 2011 is operating to the chapter season trend alert tones, consistent with substance, amounting the iris. Monochromatic yellow is addressed in Peter Som’s collection, the internal corner is lighted by a silver eye shadow. For added drama, use black liquid eyeliner for a conturing the upper eyelid.
Pink
Among the multitude of vibrant shades offered in non-conformist Christian Dior show for spring-summer 2011, we counted candy pink. From roze to fuchsia, pink had a monopoly in the new entry shades and it’s designed for bold women. Avoid to match this shade with a pink lipstick, choose rather red shades or keep neutral line choosing nude lips.
False-eyelashes
Taking into account about the monochromatic style application of blush proposed for this season, designers have brought in attention of beauty editors false-eyelashes. They outline the eyelids and increase dramatic. Inspire yourself from the Lanvin show and even used false-eyelashes in combination with a beige blush.
